No female singer sold more records in the 40’s and early 50’s than Jo Stafford. Former member of the Pied Pipers, as popular as she was she dropped out of the spotlight to raise her children. The wife of bandleader Paul Weston, Jo came out of retirement in 1990 to perform at a special benefit for Frank Sinatra. Jo’s version of “I’ll Be Seeing You“ and “All the Things You Are“ are classics. She had 32 top ten hits including the smash, “You Belong to Me“ which stayed on top of the charts for three months.
