Totally new subject Bruce--
While reading this months "The American Rag" I saw in the advertisement for 
the Sacramento Jazz Festival that the U.S. Coast Guard Dixie Band is scheduled 
to perform. It reminded me that I was curious about your reaction to the CD 
(South) by the Coast Guard Band that I brought to the Lafayette recording for 
Bill and you to hear. I think they are one of the best jazz bands in the 
country. Their cornetist is really fantastic. Also on the other CD (Heartbeat 
Dixieland Jazz Band) is a clarinet duet of "China Boy" performed by Andy Sherwood of 
the U.S. Coast Guard Band and Sherwood Kahn of the Dixieland Jazz Band. It is 
one of the best renditions that we have heard. Your comments please!!!
