Speaking of Herb Gardner--we had the great occasion to hear Herb again this last Sunday. He was guest trombonist and singer with the Galvanized Jazz Band playing to a sold-out audience at Marisa's in Trumbull, Connecticut. He was fantastic as usual!! The band had the audience so "jazzed" up that they played three extra tunes before they took their break. The second half of the program just kept getting better and we all felt like it was a New Years party extravaganza. It is programs and musicians like this that will keep JAZZ alive in the Northeast!!!
