Go to: http://list.okom.com/cgi-bin/mailman/options/tradjazz to change your settings. If you don't know your password, fill in the email address and click on remind. It will be mailed to you.
I don't see 5 messages a day as bombardment, but that is just my opinion. If anyone dosen't like the multiple mail formats, they can select daily digest. Then you will get just one email per day with all messages in it.

How does one get removed from this list (or perhaps change preferences)? My mailbox is bombarded with stuff. Thanks.

I love the Bobby Hackett story.
Henny Youngman told of a guy who never said a nice thing about anyone. Ironically he was chosen to give a eulogy at a funeral. Everyone implored him to be nice for this solemn occasion.
So the guy simply said "His brother was worse!"'

It's more pleasant to avoid knocking musicians for what
they can't do and pick out some praise for what they CAN do.
Everybody has something to offer.
Bobby Hackett would never knock anybody - remember
the story about Hitler?
"Hey Bobby - what do you think of Hitler?"
Pause, deep thought, Answer:
"Well, he was the best in his field."
Anyway, no matter how good a musician is,sooner or later
there's always someone who's better.
