George, Steve and Bruce :
"Here ! here !" re Herb Gardner. Trombone, piano, drums vocals ( and what else?); all terrific ! And an affable person to boot !
Several of Herb's more recent CDs with his own and other groups, are available through OKOM are all just marvellous jazz music.

Hi Bruce, et al:
I have to second what Steve Barbone said about Herb Gardner in his e-mail. I also attended that Tri-State Jazz Society concert by Linda Ipanema and her Dixie Cats. Herb was on trombone.
On his trombone solo on Tiger Rag, Herb did something different (he told me it was a belch) that I had never heard before (it wasn't), and I have been listening to guys like JC Higginbotham and Jack Teagarden for 70 years.
Herb Gardner is a great trombonist.
George Hunt
