Yes, I've heard that interesting podcast by Peter, who is a good friend of mine and the NWJO. 
I've known Tom as a musical colleague over a period of many years. He was instrumental in getting my band into the Edinburgh Jazz Festival in 1993. 
So I feel that I have "listened and learned" about him for some time, and to my great benefit.
