Hi GJB Fans,

Sat Sep 8th 8PM, special concert in New Jersey with Jim Fryer and Jane
Campedelli! This is Bruce Gast's 14th season putting on 'Jazz in Bridgewater'
concerts, and we're happy to be closing out the series for him this year. Check out
www.SCUW.org for ticket prices and details on the entire series. By the way,
proceeds from this concert go to the United Way, and the band is paid based
on the size of the audience. The bigger the audience, the more United Way and
GJB get! Two great reasons for following us to New Jersey!!

Sunday, Sep 9th Jazz Services
The Galvanized Quintet will be at the First Congregational Church of
Cheshire, 111 Church Drive, Cheshire 06410. We'll do two Jazz services, 8:45AM and
10:45AM, and then a picnic from 12-1! Call 203-272-2353 for details.

SUNDAYS at Marisa's in Trumbull! We'll see you on Sunday, Sep 9th, 6-8:30,
once again with Jane Campedelli, and also with West Point trombonist Harvey
Tibbs! Be sure to make your reservations early, like yesterday! Remember,
there is no cover or minimum at Marisa's, but because the food is fabulous, you're
going to want to order dinner. There's dancing too! Marisa's is very easy
to get to: take the Merritt Parkway toward Trumbull, get off at Exit 48, head
north for about 3 miles, and it's on your right. This is a good size
restaurant, with plenty of seating and parking, and a nice dance floor too! From
Guilford, it took me only 35 minutes to get there. Marisa's address is 6540
Main Street, Trumbull, CT 06611. The telephone number is 203-459-4225. Call
now, before it sells out again! Only one other date scheduled for 2007,
Sunday, Oct 21st!

The Beachhead Restaurant, 3 Cosey Beach Ave East Haven, CT. We're doing it
again! We'll be back on Sunday, Sep 30th, 6-8:30PM. Call 203-469-5450 for
dinner reservations right away. This is a great spot, with great food, but
limited seating, so make your dinner reservation now!! And yes, the owners have
promised to make room for dancing this time! Check out the Beachhead's web site,
beachheadct.com.

Special Beachhead Performance on Friday, Oct 26th, 7:30-10PM. The
Galvanized Jazz Quintet will be there (maybe in costume!) for this special Halloween
performance. For this performance, there will be a $10 cover charge. Call
203-469-5450 for details.

Bill Logozo's Heartbeat Jazz Band will be at Olivers in Essex on Thursday,
Sep 6th, 7-10PM, with Skip Hughes ! This is a great spot, nice casual
atmosphere, and good food at a reasonable price. Of course the music is hot hot hot!
Dancing too! Look for them at Olivers the first Thursday of each month.
Contact Bill Logozzo at Bill @nutmegchrome.com for information on the band and
how to order CDs.

~November 16-18, Suncoast Dixieland Jazz Classic, Clearwater Beach, Florida.
Go to www.jazzclassic.net. We won't be there.
this year, but go anyway as the band lineup is fabulous! We hope to be back
in 2008!

what to order. Our two latest CDs have been selling like hot cakes. Thank
you! The 2006 performance at Music Mountain with, Skip Hughes and Bob Price, is
sold out, but more are on order! Just send me an email, or call me, and I'll
put one in the mail for you when they arrive. I'll bill you when I send
the CD, and you can pay me only if you like the CD. What a deal!! The other
CD is our recent University of New Hampshire performance with Jimmy Mazzy and
Skip Hughes. Wait til you hear Jimmy and Skip singing Old Rockin Chair! We're
also working on a real gem to be released soon. It's a Jan 1,1984 session
at the Millpond Tavern featuring Dirck Spicer on vibes, Howard Alden on guitar,
and Noel Kaletsky on clarinet. You won't believe this one, recorded on New
Years Day, when we were all young!

See you soon! Thanks for your support!
