> For those of you unfamiliar with Brett Boyd, he's a 20 year old trumpet
player, singer, songwriter and bandleader. In 2005 he organized his very own
5 piece traditional jazz band with some of the hottest players in the
tri-state area. Once a month, his band is showcased at Colucci's Ristorante
in Haledon NJ, each month featuring a few different musicians, hence "Brett
Boyd & Friends". During his special February "Pre-Valentine's Jazz" concert,
Boyd's band will feature musicians like Fred Fischer on piano, David
Winograd on bass, Eric Storckman on Trombone, and a Gianpaulo Biagi on
drums. Being featured is legendary singer LODI CARR, who released a very
successful album in the 70's called "LADY BIRD", an album of jazz standards.
She also performed with Ray Charles on more than one occasion! So come down
to see her and the band!

> The venue, Colucci's Ristorante, is one of the finest Italian & seafood
restaurants in North Jersey, bordering Hawthorne and Fair Lawn, and easily
accessed from Rt. 208 and Rt. 287. There is NEVER A COVER CHARGE, so its a
no-pressure evening! You can make dinner reservations, which is recommended
since Brett's shows are usually packed, or you can walk in for a drink!
>
> Brett's shows are more different than most in that each performance of his
is more like a happening than a standard concert. He incorporates humor,
personality and passion for life into each note he sings and plays, and he
gives hope to younger generations through one of the most underrated
musical genres, Traditional Jazz.
