Hi All,

Trevor Rippingale hasn’t told the half of it. I first met him when his band,
The New Wolverine Jazz Orchestra, was in New Jersey. His fine group includes
talented musicians who double on everything from reeds, bone, tuba, bass,
and just about everything else. Many of them also sing.

The New Wolverines recorded a marvelous CD for Bill Taggart’s OKOM label
(they also have several other CDs). Some years later, at Bill Taggart’s
suggestion, we snagged Trevor who made a CD with The Smith Street Society
Jazz. He played clarinet, alto sax and he sang. This is one of the
recordings that I’m most proud of.

It was only years later than I heard Trevor in other groups, including the
wonderful Benny’s Boys.

Catch this band if you can and surely check out their recordings.

McN
