TRAD JAZZ NEWS

JACQUES-IMO'S

After many many years, our long run of Sunday Brunch gigs at Jacques-Imo's has ended. Seems as if they've lost their lease. There's a lot of that going around these days. The New Orleans based Jacuqes-Imo's plans to open a place in Queens. We'll keep you posted.

THE GALVANIZED JAZZ BAND

I've played with the very best musicians around and I've seen dozens of groups. That's made me into a guy who ain't easy to please. Each time I hear the Galvanized Jazz Band, I am reminded that they are the tops! DO NOT MISS A CHANCE TO SEE THIS VERY SPECIAL GROUP.

Recently, I heard a copy of one of their latest CDs (they have many) which features Skip Hughes (trombone & vocals) and Jimmy Mazzy (banjo & vocals). To my delight, this is even better than I've ever heard them before (hard as that is to believe).

CD Release Party, Thursday, 11/29/07 - 6:30-10:30PM. The Beachhead, 3 Cosey Beach Avenue, East Haven, CT. 203-469-5450. Re: Galvanized Jazz Band CD with Howard Alden, Dick Spicer & Noel Kaletsky.
